Hey there, I’m Emily Pik!
Up until October, I was a manager at a tech startup by day. By night, mornings, and weekends, I’m a people person in all senses of the phrase. Today, I’m building a business, Propel!
I immersed myself in leading and teaching early on. As a Division I student athlete and team captain, I led a team of 70 women. As a young professional, I progressed through job searches, filled new positions, and energetically managed hundreds of people.
I learned how to lean into the inconsistency within work environments. While it isn’t always comfortable to discuss fear of failure, eagerness to learn, and how to give and receive feedback… these things are my jam!
If you’re like me, then your best work happens away from the noise. In these moments you’re able to ask questions, recognize your emotions, and consciously think about personal or professional dreams.
My coaching approach and the content I create are dedicated to making it normal to take time and space to plan for that next thing.
I’m a gatherer, connector, mentor, and oldest sister, daughter, and granddaughter. I get so jazzed about bringing people in my life together around common ground, organic conversation, and of course delicious food!
Outside of coaching and my work, I’m a cook in my own test kitchen, avid podcast listener, non-profit board member, non-fiction book reader, runner, yogi, UVA alum, conversationalist, and eternal student.

Mission + Approach
In today's world, young professionals live in a state of contradiction: we've never had access to more information than we do now, but it's also becoming increasingly difficult to find answers for the specific questions we have about how to live a meaningful and productive life.
People value satisfaction in their day-to-day, but nearly 50% of us aren’t receiving that satisfaction from managers, growth potential, or recognition for our work.
Despite these trends, reflecting on what is and isn’t working, and the quality of our work, can seem overwhelming or even unimportant.
That’s why going back to the basics of society is paramount—amazing people helping other amazing people. It’s the best way to find pride in your work, unlock the go-getter in you, and workshop the incredible idea you’ve been sitting on. You can take action and break away from social “normalcy,” all while feeling 100% supported.
Bottom line: it’s normal to feel these ways. It’s normal to want to have these conversations and not know where to begin—and it doesn’t have to be Googling! You don’t need to be “prepared for” some of these aspects of soul searching or career reflection.
Everyone’s path to finding the career they want is different. Let me help you find yours.
